For John Holland Group: 2014

The scope of this project was 2500 lineal meters of storm water to be completed on day works over 3-4 months in Moorebank Units Relocations, Holsworthy Army Barracks.  This project involved the installation of Storm water ranging from 1800mm diameter down to 375mm diameter as well as the installation of concrete pits, concrete box culverts and storm water recycling tanks up to 75,000ltr capacity.  Equipment used included 20T to 30T Excavators and Vermeer T755 Trencher.  The trencher was used to excavate rock by completing a "double run" as such whereby the rock was trenched to both sides of the alignment centre leaving approximately 200mm to 300mm of rock in the centre. The unsupported sheet of rock in the centre was then easily extracted by use of excavators.  This innovative technique increased productivity and efficiency for those larger storm water trenches in rock.
