THRUST BORING
Thrust boring or cased auger boring is used where ground support is necessary throughout the construction of a horizontally bored hole.
We use a compact multi-purpose thrust boring machine which is a machine bed with additional extension frames which enables the use of 6m long casings. The machine is designed to hydraulically thrust a steel pipe into a simultaneously bored hole, extracting the spoil from the cutting face, through the inside of the steel pipe.
A grade control system can be adapted to give critical grade to any thrust bore in most ground conditions. If you require a dependable, economical thrust boring solutions, contact us today and employ the experts.
SLEEVE BORING
Sleeve boring or cased boring is the installation of a steel sleeve into a bored hole, to provide support of the surrounding material and forms a conduit for the installation of the desired service. The sleeve enables large diameter bores to be accomplished with a high degree of accuracy and safety. Steel sleeved bores also provide good mechanical protection of the service that it houses. A grouting mix can be flowed into the void between the sleeve and the service to form a true maintenance free installation.

HORIZONTAL BORING
Horizontal boring is the practical & economical solution, when compared to the disruption and management problems associated with things such as:
Although there are other trenchless technologies available, horizontal auger boring has many environmentally friendly advantages, such as a Horizontal auger boring is a dry spoil removal system. There is no need for collecting, storing and transporting liquid waste. And no hassle sourcing, the ever dwindling supply of licensed liquid waste depots.

HORIZONTAL CASED AUGER BORING
Horizontal cased auger boring is the most practical solution for crossing roads, railways, buildings and almost anywhere that an open excavation is prohibitive, with casings up to 900mm in diameter.
We are equipped with powerful horizontal cased auger boring machinery that can cut through a variety of materials, including soil and rock.
Horizontal cased auger boring is a cost effective and accurate method, particularly where extremely wet and soft ground conditions preclude the use of vacuum boring systems.
Our equipment provides an alternative option to micro tunnelling without sparing efficiency, capability and safety.
Our new McLaughlin 30/36B case boring machine can install a service casing up to 900mm in diameter without the need for opening the roads surface, thus reducing restoration costs and eliminating the risk of future road subsidence.
If you require a dependable, economical trenchless solution, contact us today and employ the experts.
PIPE JACKING
Proven by hundreds of successful installations across Australia, pipe jacking offers a suitable method for installing pipelines, such as drainage and sewerage projects, without disrupting existing surface facilities or activities or the creation of dust pollution during construction. Types of infrastructure include gas pipes, water supplies, sewerage, power supply and communication services.
Equipped with thorough knowledge and experience in pipe jacking applications, we can provide you with the most economical alternative to trenching, particularly when pipelines are laid at depths of greater than five metres. Our developed pipe jacking methods allow tolerances normally acceptable for sewer and storm water construction in most ground conditions and provide flexible, structural, watertight, finished pipeline as the tunnel is excavated. Pipe jacking is the solution to avoiding environmental damage, disruption and social costs. Pipe jacking is an economical, safe and reliable alternative to extensive excavation and digging. The benefits of employing we for our pipe jacking services are that it is safer for the public, no to minimal traffic impacts, no road repairs, deeper has little cost impact, freedom in alignment and a shorter schedule.

Grade Indicator
Our grade indicator provides an accurate method for measuring grade during the bore. The indicator board, positioned in the pit, includes a calibrated sight tube with an English grade scale and reference point indicators. Coupled to a sensing block near the cutting head, water level in the calibrated sight tube indicates the exact level of the bore. Our grade indicator houses a high-impact padded case with carrying handle to protect instruments. |

Grade Maintenance Kit The Grade Maintenance Kit, or steering head, when used in conjunction with Grade Indicator above, is indispensible for bores where an established grade must be maintained. The Grade Maintenance Kit consists of hinges and steering knuckles which are welded to the lead casing after it is cut per the instructions provided. The resulted articulated joint can be manually adjusted up or down from the boring pit to control the grade. |
Our verifier digital locator precisely tracks both depth and direction of the bore from start to finish. The verifier digital locator reduces guesswork in identifying safe areas and can be used with the steerable head to increase boring accuracy. The verifier digital locator includes a probe, or signal generator and hand-held micro-computerised receiver. The Probe is mounted in a welded to the leading edge of the casing.
